About Chelsea Engberg Photography

Nature & Animals Are My Passion

My life has always involved nature, surrounded by animals, and provided an up-close relationship with wildlife. My mother founded a wildlife rehabilitation group over 30 years ago that we are both heavily involved with.


I strive to tell stories that are raw and real using the power of photography and video, and I get to do so both through my personal work as well as the work I do for Gold Country Wildlife Rescue. I believe the opportunity to share unique and often unseen (or overlooked) experiences with Mother Nature is both a  gift and a responsibility. 

My Recent Work

Capturing real life moments through candid photos of our furry and feathered friends allows us to freeze a moment in time to be enjoyed and shared for years to come.

Getting lost in the world around me, from the mountains to the ocean and everything in between, feeds my soul. The opportunity to capture the power of what we can see if we just stop and look is incredible. 

 I capture candid moments in real-time, and am grateful for the opportunity to do so for Gold Country Wildlife Rescue in Auburn, CA. Capturing behind-the-scenes moments of the round-the-clock care given to 4000+ wild animals every year, including animals that are brought in after disaster strike (like wildfires) is key to educating the public about the importance of awareness and conservation.
